Hi BlackCloak Client,
LinkedIn has recently been experiencing a wave of malicious activity, and users are advised to take immediate action to protect their accounts.
LinkedIn users have reported their accounts have been hacked, resulting in victims either being locked out for security purposes, or having malicious actors outright commandeer their accounts.
Because of this slate of activity, BlackCloak recommends implementing dual factor authentication on all LinkedIn accounts. Here are the steps to activate dual factor for LinkedIn on both mobile and desktop.
LinkedIn Dual Factor Authentication Setup for Mobile:
- Open LinkedIn app
- Click on your account profile icon on the top left corner of the screen
- Click on Settings at the bottom of the menu
- Select Sign-In and Security
- Make sure Two-Step Verification is turn on
